Alcohol
In accordance with CSU Executive Order #966, alcohol sales are prohibited during SJSU Athletics contests. Alcohol will be served at other age appropriate events at the discretion of management. The Event Center Arena reserves the right to eject any guest who appears to be intoxicated and any underage guest who is observed to be drinking alcohol.
Animals
No animals are permitted inside the Event Center Arena except certified as "Working Dogs" that are in service to assist disabled guests.
Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive Listening devices are available at the ground level Media/Accessible Entrance.
Automated Teller Machines (ATM)
Two ATM's are conveniently located inside the Event Center Arena on the Concourse Level, one at each Main Entrance. In addition, an USE Credit Union ATM is located outside the facility at the ground level Media/Accessible Entrance.
Baby Strollers
Baby strollers will be permitted into the facility but are not permitted in the seating area. Guests may store their strollers in an area designated by Event Center Arena management (varies by event) at their own risk.
Behavior
The Event Center Arena encourages appropriate guest participation and enthusiasm at all events. Guest behavior must be bound by law and the rights of others to enjoy the event. Guests may not offend others or be abusive to other guests, players, game officials, performers or staff. Any person who engages in disruptive or abusive behavior will be directed to leave the facility. The Event Center Arena reserves the right to eject any person whose actions seriously affect the ability of others to enjoy the event. Persons ejected will not receive refunds or any form of compensation for their tickets.
Cameras/Video/Audio Recording
The use of video and audio recording devices is not permitted during events except by accredited members of the press. Camera policies differ for each event in consideration of artist/promoter regulations. Cameras without flash are permitted during SJSU Athletic events and Convocations. When allowed, only personal sized (no lenses larger than six inches) cameras are permitted. Photography during events is restricted to the seating areas and should not be obtrusive to other guests.
Doors Opening/Re-Entry Policy
On most occasions, doors will open 60 minutes prior to the advertised event start time. Please check each individual event listing for changes to this policy. The Event Center Arena enforces a strict no re-entry policy. Once guests have entered the facility, they will not be permitted to leave the building and return without purchasing a new ticket.
Elevator
The Event Center Arena has one public elevator located on the West side of the facility at the ground level Media/Accessible Entrance. Guests with disabilities and mobility issues receive preferential access to the elevator.
First Aid
The Event Center Arena provides first aid services at all events. Should you or another guest require medical attention, please alert a member of the Event Staff immediately. You will be escorted to the First Aid Room if necessary.
Food/Beverages
Outside food and beverages will not be permitted inside the Event Center Arena. All items must be consumed or disposed of prior to entry into the facility.
Guest Services
A Guest Service Representative is located at the ground level Media/Accessible Entrance for comments, questions, or concerns during all Arena events. Ushers and event security are also available throughout the facility during most events for your convenience.
Laser Pens/Pointers
Any type of laser pen or pointer is prohibited from the Event Center Arena. Such devices are dangerous to both your fellow guests, performing artists, players and game officials. Any guest in possession of a laser device is subject to ejection from the facility and confiscation of the item.
Lost & Found
To inquire about lost items during events, please contact the nearest Event Staff personnel. Following events, please contact the Event Center Administration Office at (408) 924-6300 during business hours Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.
Noise-making Devices
Artificial noise-making devices are prohibited inside the Event Center Arena. These devices include (but are not limited to): horns, whistles, air horns, cymbals, cow bells, and bugles.
Prohibited Items
Prohibited items include (but are not limited to): weapons of any kind (including chains, chain wallets, studded belts, etc.), balloons, open umbrellas, skateboards, scooters, roller blades, and stickers of any kind. Additional items may be prohibited based upon promoter/artist regulations.
Restrooms
There are four men's and four women's restrooms on the Concourse Level, located on each corner of the facility. There are two men's and two women's restrooms on the Ground Level, located on the west (main entrance) side of the facility. All restrooms are accessible for disabled guests.
Security/Bag Checks
To help ensure the highest level of safety and security for all guests, the Event Center Arena conducts visual and bag security checks prior to entry into the facility for all events. At the discretion of management, stricter security measures including (but not limited to) pat-downs or metal detectors may be in place for certain events.
Signs/Banners
Guests are strictly prohibited from bringing any form of banner or sign into the facility.
Smoking
The Event Center Arena is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building, including restrooms. Designated outdoor smoking areas are established during events on the Concourse Level upper patios at the Main Entrances.
Tailgating
By order of the University Police Department, tailgating is prohibited in all on-campus parking structures.
Throwing Objects
For the safety and enjoyment of all Event Center Arena guests, throwing objects in the seating area or onto the playing surface will not be tolerated. Guests throwing objects are subject to immediate ejection from the facility without compensation.
